iDriving works in a busy European R&I landscape where many projects tackle adjacent pieces of the same puzzle. We collaborate actively to make sure results are reusable, comparable and easier to adopt.
Our collaboration is structured around two levels:
An active synergy track with two Horizon Europe sister projects with strong thematic overlap in data-driven road safety, monitoring and predictive approaches, and deployment on urban and secondary roads.
Sister Horizon Europe project with overlapping focus on data-driven road safety and monitoring approaches. iDriving partners contribute as experts to CAMBER's expert group meetings.
Multiplier Group meetings with iDriving and international experts on standardisation and cross-project uptake. Three iDriving partners also sit on the EvoRoads Advisory Board.
Joint sessions of the three projects: from requirements, criteria and best practices for a holistic data-driven Safe System approach, to pilot lessons and digital twins for road asset and safety management.
A collaboration platform uniting Horizon Europe projects working toward safer urban mobility and improved protection of vulnerable road users (VRUs). The cluster supports joint visibility, knowledge exchange and shared learning across complementary research directions.
iDriving takes part in the cluster's regular online meetings and supports its expansion. In February 2026 the cluster published a joint white paper, Advancing Road Safety Through Data: Challenges, Solutions and Policy Insights, drawing on eleven EU-funded projects including iDriving, and presented it at RTR 2026.

Connects projects developing enabling technologies for Connected, Cooperative and Automated Mobility (CCAM). The cluster works toward shared approaches that reduce fragmentation and improve comparability - especially around architectures, interfaces, validation methods and performance metrics.
For iDriving, this cluster connects road infrastructure intelligence with the broader CCAM ecosystem - where interoperability, evaluation consistency, and deployment readiness become non-negotiable.
Every joint activity with our sister projects, related projects and clusters, newest first.
The Horizon Europe project ELABORATOR, which works on inclusive, safe and sustainable urban mobility, holds its final conference in Athens (with online participation). Projects from the cluster have been invited to a short exhibit with banners and brochures.
Related projects
iDriving joins the first webinar in the ProtAct-Us series, on methods for assessing road-related injuries with long-term consequences. iDriving coordinator Alexandros Sfyridis (CERTH) presents the project's approach, alongside speakers from ProtAct-Us and CAMBER. Online, 11:00–12:30 CET, free of charge.
EU Road Safety Cluster
iDriving exhibited at stand 19 in the Road zone of the Connecting Europe Days exhibition. Two CERTH representatives presented the project with leaflets, a roll-up banner and a short video, and around 20 visitors stopped by for information.
EU events
The three sister projects held a joint online workshop, “Innovative digital twin solutions for enhanced Road Asset & Safety Management”. Thomas Bapaume (Université Gustave Eiffel) presented iDriving's digital twin, from hazard detection to safety alerts and maintenance planning. Federico Princiotto (LINKS Foundation) presented the EvoRoads digital twin and its Turin pilot, and Bernard Kosovec (University of Zagreb) explained how CAMBER tests road safety interventions in simulation.
Sister projects
Three iDriving partners, including Université Gustave Eiffel and AustriaTech, sit on the EvoRoads Advisory Board, which met online in March and June 2026.
Sister projects
iDriving, EvoRoads and CAMBER held a joint open session, “Data-Driven Road Intelligence: Redefining Safety and Asset Management in Urban and Rural Networks”, organised by ERTICO and EvoRoads and attended by more than 60 participants. Université Gustave Eiffel presented iDriving's Nevers (France) use case, with the challenges faced and lessons learnt. EvoRoads and CAMBER each presented a pilot, and Barcelona City Council explained the challenges and benefits of hosting a project pilot.
Sister projects
Invited by SOTERIA, iDriving, represented by INGARTEK, joined the panel discussion “Deploying a connected VRU safety stack in European cities” with DEKRA, Asimov and Tecnalia at the University of Deusto, and helped promote the event.
EU Road Safety Cluster
AustriaTech contributed as an expert to two CAMBER expert group meetings on in-vehicle safety systems, where CAMBER presented its use cases in the Netherlands, Greece, Portugal and Croatia.
Sister projects
INGARTEK organised an online networking meeting between iDriving and the ESERCOM-D project, with CERTH. Both projects presented their work, answered questions and looked for common ground and ways to collaborate (10–15 participants).
Related projects
The cluster published its joint paper “Advancing Road Safety Through Data: Challenges, Solutions and Policy Insights”, an initiative of the PHOEBE project with contributions from eleven EU-funded projects, including iDriving. Cluster projects presented it at RTR 2026 (10–12 February).
EU Road Safety Cluster
iDriving attended the final webinar of the EVENTS project, “Tackling CCAM challenges with robust sensing”.
EU Road Safety Cluster
As part of the EU Road Safety Cluster, iDriving joined SOTERIA's second online validation workshop, which shaped policy recommendations for deploying solutions that improve safety for vulnerable road users in EU cities.
EU Road Safety Cluster
iDriving took part in the first EvoRoads Multiplier Group meeting (online). With invited experts, the partners discussed how project results can feed into standardisation, wider stakeholder uptake and policy guidance.
Sister projects
CERTH, ACCELIGENCE and INGARTEK represented iDriving at the EvoRoads General Assembly (online), as the two sister projects take part in each other's general assemblies.
Sister projects
EvoRoads presented its project at iDriving's 2nd plenary meeting, hosted by Université Gustave Eiffel in France, opening a discussion on clustering opportunities and concrete collaboration topics.
Sister projects
iDriving co-organised the first joint workshop of the three sister projects, “Implementing a holistic, data-driven safe system for all road users”. It presented first results on requirements for road safety assessment and started a cluster of projects working on complementary topics.
