iDriving took part in the first EvoRoads Multiplier Group meeting, an online session that brought together EvoRoads and iDriving partners and invited experts from across Europe and beyond to exchange views on road safety, smart infrastructure, and standardisation pathways.

After a short welcome and framing of the Multiplier Group’s role, EvoRoads partners presented a structured overview of the project and its technical building blocks.
For iDriving, the most valuable part was not just the project update, but the why: the Multiplier Group is designed as a practical mechanism to help translate project outputs into standardisation contributions, broader stakeholder uptake, and policy-relevant guidance over the coming phases of the projects.
A concrete next step: alignment around ISO/ITS standardisation
A particularly useful exchange focused on how research results can move into the standardisation ecosystem. The meeting included contributions from standardisation and ITS experts, including references to ISO technical committee work and a proposal to continue discussions around standardisation opportunities during the 17th ITS European Congress in Istanbul (27–29 April 2026). Looking ahead
This first Multiplier Group meeting set the tone for deeper collaboration between sister projects and external experts, keeping the engagement lightweight, but making it strategically targeted: fewer meetings, more signal, and clearer routes from pilots and tools to real-world adoption.
