Main work and achievements:
WP1 played a central role in ensuring the smooth execution of the iDriving project during the second semester, maintaining strong management, coordination, and communication across the consortium. Monthly Work Package meetings and dedicated WP Leaders meetings provided a regular platform to monitor progress, address interdependencies, and make strategic decisions. Major coordination highlights included the successful organisation of the 1st Plenary Meeting in Graz, Austria (M08), which brought all partners together to review progress and align on the next phase of work, and the 2nd Executive Board Meeting (M12), which offered strategic oversight and direction for the project. WP1 also facilitated three major thematic workshops – focusing on the Data Management Plan, Technical Requirements, and System Architecture – that established the technical and organisational backbone for the iDriving ecosystem. In parallel, the scientific and technical management teams implemented a monitoring methodology to ensure rigorous research practices, high-quality outputs, and adherence to KPIs. Close collaboration between technical partners and end-users helped refine use case scenarios, align component requirements, and ensure the solutions under development will be fit for purpose. Quality control checks were carried out on key deliverables, and risk monitoring processes remained in place to anticipate and mitigate potential challenges. Data management activities progressed with the organisation of a dedicated workshop, updates to the DMP questionnaire, and the creation of an IPR registry to track intellectual property generated within the project. Privacy, ethics, and legal oversight was maintained through continuous partner support and the provision of a dedicated legal and ethical framework.
Next steps:
WP1 will continue to provide management and coordination support to maintain a collaborative and efficient working environment across all Work Packages. Preparations for the 2nd Plenary Meeting, planned for September 2025 in Nevers, France, are underway, focusing on logistical arrangements and agenda setting to maximise impact. Further emphasis will be placed on aligning scientific and technical progress with project milestones, continuing risk management activities, and supporting the consortium as it transitions towards pilot planning and TRL6 demonstration readiness. The next semester will build on the strong foundations established so far, ensuring that iDriving remains on track to achieve its objectives and deliver high-quality, innovative outcomes.
