On April 8-9, 2025, the Municipality of Thessaloniki expanded the project’s reach to the macro-regional level by attending the high-level workshop “Accelerating Climate Change Adaptation in the Adriatic-Ionian Region,” organized by the EUSAIR Presidency in Corfu.
This event was a pivotal moment for iDriving, as it moved the discussion beyond local implementation to cross-border transport resilience. Presenting the project to policymakers from across the Adriatic and Ionian nations, our partner highlighted how data-driven solutions are essential for adapting transport infrastructure to changing climate conditions.
The project was positioned as a “best practice” example, demonstrating how innovative technology can guide decision-making. This engagement is particularly important for influencing future regional funding priorities and infrastructure planning across the wider Balkan and Adriatic area.
By sharing our methodology and results with neighboring regions, iDriving aims to set a standard for resilient transport networks that transcend national borders.
